PF3600UV transformer and more. . .

We bought our PF3600UV pressure filter over 10 years ago. We've had no issues with it other than having to replace the bulb. The first time I replaced it, I ordered the wrong bulb. Why? Come to find out that in 2016 the PF3600UV was upgraded from the 18W bulb to a 24W bulb. All the parts on the Puget Sound Ponds Website actually lists the pre 2016 & post 2016. Other companies could learn from PSP. We had never replaced the foam filters. The place where we bought the PF3600 from told me that we would know when to replace them when we would see pieces of the filter floating in the pond. After 10 years and never seeing this happen, and seeing the Filter maintenance kit on the PSP website I figured I'd just go ahead and change out the filters. There is a great how to video on the PSP website for replacing the filters. After taking the lid off of the filter I found the center tube had disintegrated and the bottom nut had broken. I contacted PSP via email and got a very fast reply from Rahul. Long story short, the center tube for the pre 2016 PF3600 was discontinued so I needed to order a new lid. After several emails and a phone call with Rahul and after ordering parts for the pre 2016 filter, I asked Rahul if it would be possible to upgrade to the 24W transformer so in all reality we now have a post 2016 PF3600 with a 24W bulb. The answer was yes. If any one else has a Pre 2016 PF3600UV and needs a new center tub, you'll need to replace the lid but you will need to use the pre 2016 bottom sponge plate.
Rahul is a great guy. I was pretty sure he was tired of hearing from me although after meeting him in person when I returned the parts I ordered prior to finding out the center tube was toast, he said he was happy to help.
I also find out that PSP will maintain/clean your ponds. Our water feature is around 1200 gallons. I've had to drain it 3 times, once to replace the 2 pumps and the other two times to clean it. Now knowing I can call and have PSP do it, they will be hearing from me in the future. Rahul, thank you for everything! I truly appreciate all the help you provided and being so patient with me as I changed my mind on everything!

Pond Max Ballast Replacement

I tested the new ballast system in my house by pushing a chop stick into the hole that makes the connection when you screw in the ballast system. The new UV bulb lit up but the little light on the outside of the unit did not light up. I have no idea if the light is illuminating once I screwed it into the tank and I won't know when, if, the light bulb burns out. My pond is getting clearer, so I guess it is working for now.
