Setting Up the Kit

Run the weighted tubing from the pump — which stays on dry land, protected from the weather — down into the pond and out to the diffuser location. The in-line check valve goes between the pump and the diffuser to stop water from backing up into the pump housing when the unit is off. On the dual kit, the 2-way splitter lets you route tubing to two different spots in the pond from a single pump, which is useful for spreading aeration across a large or irregularly shaped water garden instead of concentrating it in one corner. Which Kit Should You Choose?

For ponds up to about 6,000 gallons and no deeper than 7 feet, the single TADKIT1800 delivers plenty of aeration from one diffuser point. If your pond runs larger, deeper, or you want oxygen distributed across two separate spots — say, opposite ends of an irregularly shaped pond — the dual TADKIT3600 gives you the extra wattage, tubing length, and second diffuser to cover that ground.
