How do I know which PondMAX filter I have?

The model number is printed on the filter housing itself, usually near the base. It will read PF750, PF1200, PF2400, PF3600, PF4800, or PF7200. That number is what determines which pad kit and SKU you need.

How often should I replace PondMAX filter pads?

Once a year is the general guideline for most ponds, typically at spring startup. Heavier fish loads or ponds under trees often need a mid-season change as well, since debris builds up faster.

What's the difference between the yellow and blue pads in the kit?

The yellow foam is the coarser mechanical layer, and the blue foam is the finer polishing layer behind it. We do not have published micron ratings for either pad on file, so if you need exact specs for a project, contact us directly.

Will these pads fit an older PondMAX filter?

These kits are built for the current PF750 through PF7200 lineup. If you have an older or imported unit and are not sure it matches, send us the model information before ordering so we can confirm fit.
