PerformancePro ArtesianPro variable speed pond pumps offer unmatched versatility. These self-priming pumps feature a permanent magnet drive.
The three-phase motor lets you dial the flow rate up or down. You no longer have to run one fixed speed year-round for your water feature.
A pond needs high waterfall flow in July but less in January. Lowering the output during winter helps you save on electric bill costs.
This line includes six configurations with three motor sizes. Models come in 1.6HP, 2.7HP, and 3.45HP as High Flow or High Head impellers.
Key Features of Variable Speed Pond Pumps
Motor and Efficiency
The three-phase motor is totally enclosed and fan-cooled. This protects it from weather wear that ruins cheaper, lower-quality pond pumps.
Since the speed is variable, you aren't stuck with "on" or "off." Lower the flow in cooler months to drop your monthly operating costs.
These variable speed pond pumps deliver extra pressure for backwashing filters. They power upsized waterfalls for any large pond layout.
Programmable Timer and Speed Control
An LCD backlight display and integrated timer sit right on the pump. The internal clock supports seven unique speed presets for users.
Set a schedule for stronger flow by day and reduced flow overnight. The pump handles the switching automatically for total convenience.
A battery back-up saves settings during power outages. A manual override allows for instant on/off control during system maintenance tasks.

Self-Priming Design and Fittings
Both HF and HH versions are true self-priming pumps with 3" ports. They offer 2" or 3" tailpieces for a direct and secure pipe connection.
An easy access lid and large strainer basket keep debris out. This makes basket cleaning a simple chore for any pond owner to manage.
Choosing the Right Model
Horsepower indicates how much head pressure and flow you can push. These variable speed pond pumps align by motor sizes for installation:

High Flow vs. High Head: Which Impeller Do You Need
HF is for High Flow; HH is for High Head. These are not interchangeable once your system is designed for specific water movements.
Systems with high vertical lift or long pipe runs need High Head. Flatter runs with high volume need the High Flow version instead.
Installation and Support
Choose the 2" or 3" tailpiece to match your plumbing. Both sizes are available for every model in this high-performance pump line.
