How to Install the Aquascape AquaSurge Pump in a Skimmer

Note: Always disconnect power before installing or servicing the pump. For complete installation instructions, refer to the full Product Manual PDF.

1. Remove the existing pump or clear the skimmer basket of any debris.
2. Attach the appropriate plumbing adapter fittings to the 1.5" MPT pump discharge outlet.
3. Position the rotational ball output so it is in line with your skimmer's discharge plumbing and tighten it.
4. Position the pump inside the skimmer basket — flat for most standard skimmer styles, or upright with the pump stand that comes with it.
5. Hook up the plumbing from the pump discharge to your waterfall filter/BioFalls.
6. Lead the 20 ft cord of the pump through the cord access in the skimmer to an outdoor outlet with GFCI.
7. Plug the pump in and check for full flow. Tune the rotational ball output if necessary.
8. Observe for 24 hours to ensure that there are no variations in the functioning and flow for filtration.
