High Flow vs. High Head: Which Impeller Do You Need

HF stands for High Flow impeller, HH stands for High Head impeller, and the two aren't interchangeable once you've picked a system design. Flow and pressure performance differ between them, so the right choice comes down to your plumbing layout, not just tank size. A system with a lot of vertical lift or long pipe runs generally leans toward the High Head option, while a system moving a large volume of water over a shorter, flatter run leans toward High Flow. If you're not sure which your setup calls for, it's worth confirming the head height and pipe length before ordering.
